Goal setting is essential for one’s life, it gives purpose and meaning to life. Goals keep us motivated and gives us direction. It also provides you the benchmark of determination whether you are actually succeeding or not?
We promise to ourselves to achieve our destination but somehow we have to face the music of your decisions. We fail to achieve and that’s because we are distracted and detracted.
To accomplish your goals, however you have to know how to set them, Setting a goal is a process that starts with careful consideration of what you want to achieve and ends with a lot of hard work.

1. Set the goal that motivates you:
Perhaps the most important question to ask yourself is ; “What you want in your life, and does the goal fit in that vision?”
Goal setting should be the part of your life journey. It should be relevant and meaningful to you. Set goals that relate to the high priorities in your life.
TIP: To make sure that your goal is motivating, write it down “Why it is important to you?”
If you are able to write it down and all that satisfies your innerself. Then definitely the goal is motivating and you are interested in it.
2. Don’t let others set the goal for you:
Don’t ,let others to rule you. Do what you want if others will set goals for you, your own capability to do will never pop up. It will cause several damaging effects on your ability to achieve them, because it is no longer your goal, you will have no kind of commitment with it.
You will become more aggressive, you will find it difficult a lot more than it is, So don’t let others set a goal for you.
3. Brainstorm what needs to happen:
Start making strategies to make your goal reach your vision. Brainstorm some main steps, categorize them because you have to accomplish a long way.
Which plan are you going to implement? Be definite what you are doing and what you want don’t hope.
Hope is not strategy!
Keep your vision and goals transparent, that will increase the possibility of success.
4. Make it measurable:
In order to ensure that each step you accomplish is steadily building up your bigger vision. Make your each mini-goal measurable and get to know if you are not off track. Start targeting dates and achieve your mini-goals.
5. Success Mindset:
Have a positive mindset that “I can do it” if you will think positive you will build a success mindset.
This means you are confident in yourself and then you will be able to learn from your mistakes. It is very easy to get fed up and feel discouraged but the positive mindset will help you find the silver linings in the storm clouds.
6. Don’t get circumstances to control you:
There are many un milestones in the way to accomplish your goal and many failers also , but if you cannot control your circumstances don’t let circumstances control you. Don’t forget failures are good learners. Do something instead of losing hope. The gravity to pull you down is very strong but don’t let it overcome you.
7. Seek Feedback:
Feedback is critical and can effect you a lot. Ask for advice for those whom you respect and trust. Don’t forget criticism is constructive, listen to good and bad. It is the most cheapest and the most powerful tool to assess that how will you are meeting the standards that you set for yourself. Feedback is the key to overcome blind sports and to achieve better results.
8. Stick with it:
Your goal-achieving could be a long term process so keep yourself on track build reminders, review your goals, stick to them until you achieve it.
